An extended look at how Tony lost his team and found his family.
So help me, I will give all of these characters the happy ending they deserve, in the happiest multi-verse that ever existed (after some Rough Times because that’s just life.)
Featuring - a less problematic Spider-Man recruitment scene - mostly stand-alone chapters - JARVIS mandated Sex-Ed - a Tony Stark Defense Squad worth something - no one dies - a slow but genuine team reconciliation - and the all important answer to the question Tony Stark + Happiness = ?
Tony was not a team player, and he knew it. He was loud and obnoxious and self-centered, and he had done more harm than good in his life. He didn't deserve to have anyone watching his back, but he felt like maybe they deserved to have him watching theirs. So, when he saw the sad, sorry living conditions of the other Avengers, he couldn't help but help them.
5 times one of the Avengers saw a gap in Tony's mask and 1 time they didn't. The Avengers realise they don't know Tony Stark as well as they thought they did.
Following the events in Manhattan, the Avengers are all dealing with their own unique, internal struggles and Tony finds himself playing therapist. Consumed with their own demons, they fail to see that Tony may just be the one who needs the most help. Rated for language, violence and alcoholism.
Bruce isn't even gone for two days when Tony gets himself kidnapped. Again. S.H.I.E.L.D is telling everybody to calm down and wait, but the Avengers Team has other ideas. And in the midst of their daring rescue, the others finally catch sight of all the arc reactor is.
